Join us at Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 2 to experience the diverse bounty of Oregon while indulging in snacks, sweets, beer and music from the Pacific Northwest. Play games as you learn about specialty and native crops from local farms and CSAs, take part in cooking demonstrations and discover new artisan vendors. In true OMSI fashion, the annual event includes tons of kids activities and fun for the adults too. While you’re there, swing by the James Beard Public Market booth and learn about what’s in store.
Do you love engaging with people? Maybe a budding passion for public markets? Volunteer at our booth!
After we teach you everything you need to know, you can expect to talk with festival goers about the market’s vision, engage with kids and have a great time with staff and fellow volunteers. We have three shifts available for up to six people:
Available volunteer shifts:
1) 9:30 a.m. – noon
2) Noon – 2:15 p.m.
3) 2:15 – 4:30 p.m.
To volunteer or to learn more, contact our new Community Engagement Manager Suzi Carter at firstname.lastname@example.org or 540-810-7667.
To attend, no registration required. Just show up!
